Description: Ok...I have to be honest and admit that one of my pet peeves is people who struggle to put PowerPoint into SlideShow view.
I know it may seem like a petty thing, but I think this speaks a bit to speaker credibility. If you know your material and chose this tool to present it, you should know the tool well enough to have your interactions with it be seamless in front of an audience. When you don't, you've already distracted the audience and thus lessened credibility.
I don't think I'm alone on this, just look around for eyes of frustration at the next conference you're attending when this happens.
So how do you fix this? You could just practice finding the menu/icon that launches SlideShow, OR, if you'd like to look like a techie "rock star", you could learn a couple simple keyboard shortcuts. In this video I'll demonstrate simple keyboard commands for launching PowerPoint into SlideShow view. The keyboard commands themselves are listed below.

- SlideShow to current slide: Shift+F5
- Mac
- SlideShow to 1st slide: Cmd+Enter
- SlideShow to current slide: Cmd+Shift+Enter
