Outline Management.
After an initial introductory overview session, led by key members of the RDLDL Faculty group, the course will proceed in a sequence of two-week units. In the first session of each unit the students will organize and conduct a reading seminar based on a selection of papers providing background on the topic of that unit. In the second session, a member of the faculty will lead a seminar on the current state of the art with regard to the topic of the unit.

Participation. This meeting is open only to graduate students who have been recommended for admission by a member of the RDLDL Faculty associates. All students receiving support through the RDLDL Graduate Associates program, or designated as Graduate Associates, with other funding sources, are required to participate.

It is hoped that each student will prepare 1 or 2 papers for presentation during the semester, and will participate effectively in meeting discussions, and in the management of the student-led portion of the seminar.
