Besides teaching courses in telecommunications technology and policy, international telecommunications, and management of creativity at Indiana University, Bloomington, Dr. Sawhney is also interested in telecommunications infrastructure planning and policy, evolution of telecommunications networks, universal service, and the use of metaphors in the design of new technological systems. Dr. Sawhney publishes extensively in both technical and social scholarly journals. He also serves as an editor of several journals and books. Professor Sawhney holds a Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Texas at Austin.
