Information Privacy and
Appraisal Functions in Retrieval Systems
Prof. Javed Mostafa, Indiana
University
ABSTRACT
Few web based IR systems
today support information privacy and appraisal
functions even though
justifications for supporting such functions are
rather clear. Using consumer health information delivery
as a context,
challenges associated
protecting privacy and determining information
quality (i.e., with
appraisal functions) will be explored.
A system's
architecture, related
techniques and algorithms and a prototype system
implementation will be
discussed.
