  • Dr. Regina Marchi talks about how marginalized communities and social justice movements are portrayed in the main stream media, as well as her research into Chicano and Latino artists and educators use different forms of media to express political issues. Regina Marchi is Assistant Professor in the Department of Journalism & Media Studies at Rutgers University. She holds a Ph. D. in Communication from the University of California, San Diego, and an M.A. in English Literature from San Francisco State University. Prior to life in academia, she worked as a journalist in the US and Central America and also spent several years doing community organizing work in the areas of health and environmental justice.
