This new interdisciplinary course examines significant current challenges that communities both locally and globally face while trying to sustain their quality of life. The course includes three distinct learning opportunities for examining theses issues: online instructor-guided peer learning and collaboration conducted among the 20 students enrolled in each of the six course sections; service learning, a commitment of 40 hours required of all students enrolled in this course; and weekly lectures. These lectures feature presentations by leading Rutgers professors from across four schools and ten different academic departments. In this way, the course offers students a broad, multi-disciplinary perspective showing how the humanities, social sciences, life sciences, and physical sciences are each vital to understanding contemporary challenges to community wellness.  See attached flyer for more details.
