Frank Greenagel, LCSW, LCADC, ACSW, CJC is a clinical social worker who specializes in addiction & recovery treatment. He works full time as the Recovery Counselor at both Rutgers New Brunswick & Newark, where he oversees recovery housing and coordinates student & alumni activities. Rutgers won the NAADAC (National Association of Alcoholism & Drug Abuse Counselors) Organization Achievement Award in 2011. The Recovery House was featured in both the New York Times and MSNBC.com in 2012. He is an adjunct professor at the Rutgers School of Social Work. He was appointed to the Governor’s Council on Alcohol & Drug Abuse (GCADA) in 2011. In 2012, he was named the Chairman of the NJ Opiate Task Force on Heroin & Other Opiates.

Frank served in the United States Army while studying history & English at Rutgers. He studied Shakespeare at the University of Cambridge. He spent 2003 teaching English in Japan. He graduated with his MSW from Rutgers in 2006. He spent three years teaching English at Elizabeth High School and six years working as an outpatient counselor at Hunterdon Drug Awareness. He was an Instructor at the Center of Alcohol Studies for four years. He is currently pursuing a Masters in Public Affairs and Politics.

When he is not working, Frank likes to play video game football with his friends. He's a passionate fan of the Minnesota Vikings and NY Yankees (he's been to over 250 baseball games -- he has also been to a couple of World Series and the NBA Finals). An avid traveler, Frank has been to 17 countries, 45 states and 33 baseball stadiums. He has run two marathons (he ran under four hours in Philly ’07). A true Anglophile, he’s played croquet since childhood and considers himself a minor authority on British Rock 'N Rock. He has visited every major Civil War battlefield and is considered a major authority on the Marvel Universe by his comic-book reading peers. He likes to review books and comics on Amazon.
