Primary Area of Interest: I investigate to what extent Moroccan produced TV dramas are shaped by local, national, and global cultural flows such as wider influences from the Arab world, the old colonial power – France - and from American popular culture. I also explore how audiences in Morocco receive Arab, French, and American produced television series. How do they contribute to shaping their perceptions of Morocco and the Arab world in relationship to the West?
