Mongrel 

Supporting Effective Access Through User- and Topic-Based Language Models

Mongrel is a collaborative research project investigating user and topic based language models for effective information retrieval. Participating institutions are University Massachusetts, Amherst, Department of Computer Science and Rutgers University, School of Communication, Information & Library Studies. The project is funded by a three year grant from the National Science Foundation.
