Erica D. Ferry Communication '88 & MCIS '94
Senior Director of Community Affairs - Schering-Plough Corporation
Erica Ferry is responsible for building and enhancing relationships with key external constituencies to promote and facilitate the company’s operations in New Jersey and at other major Schering-Plough sites.
Prior to joining Schering-Plough, Ms. Ferry worked with Tyco International’s new management team and led global philanthropy and community involvement initiatives as the Director of Corporate Citizenship. She previously served as Director of Community Relations and Contributions Programs for Pharmacia Corporation. In this role, she developed and led multi-faceted strategic initiatives that helped establish and build Pharmacia's reputation as a respected corporate citizen. At Pharmacia, she directed a $20 million philanthropy program and served as Executive Director of the Pharmacia Foundation. Prior to joining Pharmacia, Ms. Ferry was Vice President of the New Jersey Alliance for Action. She joined the Alliance for Action in 1988 as a Project Manager and served the organization in several different capacities.
Ms. Ferry received a BA in Communication from Cook College (Rutgers University) and a Masters in Communication and Information Studies from Rutgers University. She also holds a Graduate Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Seton Hall University.
She was recognized in 2000 as one of NJBIZ's "40 Under 40--New Jersey's Most Successful Young Businesspeople" and was a member of Leadership New Jersey's Class of 2001. Ms. Ferry serves on the boards of the Partnership for Quality Medical Donations (PQMD), New Jersey Alliance for Action, The Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation North Jersey Affiliate, the Summit Chamber of Commerce and the Independent College Fund of New Jersey.
