Jan (pronounced “YAHN”) is a Member in Good Standing of the Bars of the State of New York, the Federation of Saint Kitts-Nevis and the Territory of the British Virgin Islands. He currently works in New York in the Clinton Hill section of Brooklyn as a sole practitioner, and maintains the web site, www.JanAlexDash.com. He also works in Charlestown, Nevis as a partner of the law firm, Liburd and Dash, and maintains the website, www.LiburdDash.com. He divides his time between New York and Nevis. He has worked in the offshore financial services industry for leading international Trust Companies in the British Virgin Islands, Nevis and Bermuda. Jan has considerable experience in the areas of Corporate Law, Trusts Law, Private Clients and Real Estate Transactions and has published several articles on these areas of law. He is also a contributor to The Trident Practical Guide for Offshore Trusts and Asset Protection: Domestic and International Law and Tactics.

He received his Bachelor of Arts, Communication from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 1989. He received his Juris Doctor degree from Hofstra University Law School in 1994. He was also educated in Trinidad and received his Certificate of Legal Education from Sir Hugh O. B. Wooding Law School in 1997.

Jan is currently single and enjoys running and surfing.
