Journalism and Media Studies majors with a cumulative GPA of 3.2 or better may apply to the honors program.

The honors program involves two formal semesters of work:

- Senior Seminar in Journalism and Media Studies (04:567:489), followed by

- Senior Thesis / Project (04:567:490).
