MCIS Graduate Student Association

All MCIS students are considered to be members of the program's Graduate Student Association.

Meetings/social gatherings are held thoughout the year to allow students to develop and foster connections with other students within the department. GSA also sponsors symposiums featuring professionals in the communication and information studies field throughout each semester.

International Association of Business Communicators - Rutgers Student Chapter

IABC helps students connect with professional mentors in potential career areas; provides a means to involve graduate students in mentoring undergraduates; and encourages a venue to involve alumni with our current students. The group runs field trips to organizations of interest; fund-raisers; philanthropy with local nonprofits; and social and networking events.  Membership is open to all students (not just Communication majors) with interests in the topics of the association--marketing, advertising, corporate communication, public affairs, community relations, human resources, training, and government relations.

Meeting times:  Every Tuesday night through Spring 2009, at 8:00pm, in the SC&I Student Lounge.
