American Society for Information Science & Technology Student Chapter (RU ASIS&T)
Mission:
The American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) is a national organization devoted to the creation, organization, dissemination and application of knowledge concerning information and its transfer. Rutgers University ASIS&T (RUASIS&T) is one of the student chapters of this organization. In addition to the RUASIS&T chapter, New Jersey also has a state chapter (NJASIS) that works closely with RUASIS&T.

Mission:
LISSA is the Rutgers' student chapter of the American Library Association. You do not need to apply to LISSA, all LIS students are automatically members. It is up to you to decide if you want to be an active and contributing member of LISSA.

The Special Libraries Association (SLA) is an international professional association that represents information resource experts.
