American Society for Information Science & Technology Student Chapter

Mission:
The American Society for Information Science & Technology (ASIS&T) is a national organization devoted to the creation, organization, dissemination and application of knowledge concerning information and its transfer. Rutgers University ASIS&T (RUASIS&T) is one of the student chapters of this organization. In addition to the RUASIS&T chapter, New Jersey also has a state chapter (NJASIS) that works closely with RUASIS&T.

Library and Information Science Student Association

Mission:
LISSA is the Rutgers' student chapter of the American Library Association. You do not need to apply to LISSA, all LIS students are automatically members. It is up to you to decide if you want to be an active and contributing member of LISSA.

Special Libraries Association - Rutgers University Student Group

Mission:
The Special Libraries Association (SLA) is an international professional association that represents information resource experts. SLA has nearly 15,000 members who work in special libraries serving business, research, government, universities, newspapers, museums, and institutions that use or produce specialized information.

Student Organization for Unique and Rare Collections Everywhere

Mission:
SOURCE (founded November 2000) addresses the interest of students who wish to learn more about archives, rare books, special collections, digital archiving, manuscripts, records management, museums and preservation.
