Rutgers University's School of Communication, Information and Library
Studies is an interdisciplinary school focused on the study of communication
and information processes, organizations, and technologies as they
shape and define individuals and societies, and the relationships
between them. Our school has students in six academic programs:
Undergraduate majors in

(about 250 graduates per year)
- Journalism and Media Studies
(about 215 graduates per year)
- Information Technology and Informatics
(about 85graduates per year)
Masters degree programs in
- Library and Information Science
(about 150 graduates per year)
- Communication and Information Studies

Doctoral program in
- Communication, Information and Library Studies
(about 15 graduates per year)
We also have tens of thousands of alumni who have graduated from our programs
in the past fifty years.
