Bullying is, unfortunately, a fact of life in almost all schools in this country. Far too many children awake each morning with a sense of dread, fearing the physical or verbal abuse that awaits them in school and on the playground.

Children's literature certainly cannot resolve such problems, but well-told tales on this topic can help young people deal with the situation.
