This page represents a selected collection on American History websites that should prove useful to students and scholars in American History. Many more sites were examined than this list represents but included are only those that I believe offer something special to the reader. I have tried to be certain that often overlooked aspects of American History are included.

Obviously, I am most interested in the relationship to children's literature and thus have created "The Foregrounding of Women in History in Children's and Young Adult Books" that includes a number of biographical studies of women in American History.
