That's certainly one
possible interpretation!
Certainly "the hat"
catches the attention. What has the illustrator done to accomplish
this? Is the woman with a hat proud of her hat? Or, does she seem
to take it for granted as a part of her wardrobe? What interest
does the bird arouse, if any?
