Kay-thanks for your suggestions for the children's illustration course I am working on. Your website is wonderful and extremely helpful for myself and my students of children's literature. Again, many thanks!

Subject: Website WOW!
Wow!!! I just finished going through your website. Incredible!! Of course I did not get through all of it but I bookmarked it so I can revisit it often. The Snow White page is stunning - of course the intellectual content is top-notch but the visual impact - I love the embroidery and the red print on white is so appropriate for the subject matter - the minute I saw the red on white I was reconnected to all the details I know of the story -Snow White/Rose Red, the pricking of the finger and the droplets of blood, the apple, -- your site is powerful in so many ways. Just outstanding.

Subject: Information about Patricia Polacco, Please
Hello,
Thank you for the great tribute page on Patricia Polacco. I am a fulltime art teacher in a rural area and a mother of a 4 year old daughter. I love her books and so does my daughter. My daughter especially likes Thundercake and we have made the thundercake many times.
I have been trying to get Patricia Polacco's email address or home address, so that I could get in touch with her. Love her stories and her illustrative style.
I was wondering, out of desperation, if you had that information; and is it available to her fans. Please, if you can give out an email address or a business address, I would be greatly appreciated.
I would appreciate it if you would get in touch with me, whether or not you can help me out with my search. I am overjoyed that you have written such a nice article about her.
Thank you very much and peace and happiness.
Sincerely,
[In response to a request from a teacher for a copy of a letter on Pink and Say referred to on my Patricia Polacco page and my indication that I would send a copy.]

Thank you for being so helpful Prof. Vandergrift. My address is . . . . By the way, I really enjoyed your listing of children's books written in a female voice as opposed to just having a female protagonist. I am the mother of a 15-month-old girl and I am determined to bring her up in a feminist fashion, so your list was quite helpful to me. Thanks again,
