Dr. Gordon is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers University.  She came to Rutgers from Boston University where she was Head of the Education Library and Associate Professor in the School of Education.  Dr. Gordon's research interests include: the information searching behavior of adolescents; the use of Bayesian statistics in qualitative research; action research as a tool for professional development; and multiple models of information literacy that promote knowledge construction.

Founded in the nation's top ranked School Library Program at Rutgers University, CISSL provides the international community of scholars and practitioners an arena to develop and exchange research enhancing learning in school libraries worldwide.  As the Associate Director at CISSL, Dr. Gordon concentrates on excellence in school libraries.
