Dr. Gordon is an Associate Professor in the School of Communication, Information and Library Studies at Rutgers University, and Associate Director for the Center for International Scholarship in School Libraries.  She holds an MS in secondary education, an MLIS degree and a doctorate in Education from Boston University.  She has worked as a teacher and library media specialist in public schools in New York, Michigan, and Massachusetts.  She was Director of Libraries and Information Services at the Frankfurt International School, Germany and an exchange teacher at the American School in London.  Most recently, she has lived in Boston, where she served as Head of the Pickering Educational Resources Library and as an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Boston University.
