ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR
School of Communication, Information & Library Studies, Department of Library & Information Science
Professor McInerney's research is focused on the study of strategic and effective integration of information and communication technology (ICT) in the work place to facilitate knowledge creation, knowledge sharing, and knowledge management. To this end, she also studies the social and cultural factors inherent in the use of ICTs as well as Gender and Technology.
Department Chair Library and Information Science (LIS)
The Department provides education and conducts research in Library and Information Science as well as Information Technology and Informatics. LIS offers an undergraduate degree in Information Technology and Informatics, a Masters of Library and Information Science, and an interdisciplinary PhD degree in Communication, Library and Information Science.
The Department faculty members perform service to the State of New Jersey and society at large through faculty and student research, participation in professional organizations, offering workshops and speakers, and advancing the knowledge of the information and library fields.
