This database originates from an assignment for the Knowledge Structures course in the Department of Library and Information Science, School of Communication, Library and Information Studies, Rutgers University, in collaboration with the Scholarly Communication Center at the Rutgers University Library, in Fall 2001. The intellectual content of the assignment was developed by Marija Dalbello. The design of the database in ColdFusion was done by Mike LeBlanc under direction of Ron Jantz who has been overseeing the process of further development ever since. Brendan Banks upgraded some of the features of the database in 2002; Nikita Lytkin maintained the database in 2003; Vincent Colonna maintained the database and Ying Hsang Liu provided assistance to the students, advice with the interface and help page Spring 2004. Vincent Colonna maintained the database and provided technical assistance to the students in Fall 2004.
