Vinessa Erminio, MSLIS

Here are some miscellaneous facts about me:

In August, my mother and I rode on The Star-Ledger's Munchmobile! We visited several Italian restaurants all across New Jersey and sampled dozens of different pastas. Details and photos from the trip are available here and here.

My favorite local charity is Kaleidoscope of Hope. They hold annual walkathons in New Jersey to raise money to fight ovarian cancer. Donations are accepted online.

I'm a long time fan of the New York Giants and New York Mets, and a fairweather fan of Rutgers Football.

In 2000, I spent a semester in the Walt Disney World College Program in Orlando, FL. I sold hot dogs at Casey's Corner on Main Street in the Magic Kingdom while wearing an old-fashioned baseball uniform (and I've still got the baseball-shaped thermos to prove it)!

The Beatles are my all time favorite band. Most of my other favorites would fall into the "classic rock" category too - U2, Bruce Springsteen (fulfilling that time-honored Jersey stereotype), Peter Gabriel, Fleetwood Mac, Billy Joel, Queen, and The Who.

I don't watch many current TV shows. I was a huge Sopranos fan (fulfilling that other time-honored Jersey stereotype), and I love classic sitcoms like Taxi, The Golden Girls, and Cheers. I like a wide variety of movies, from sappy chick flicks like Steel Magnolias, to hardcore mafia dramas like Goodfellas, to pretty much everything made by Kevin Smith.

I'm a big fan of webcomics. Favorites include Questionable Content, Something Positive, Medium Large, and Punch An' Pie. On a related note, I also enjoy reading The Comics Curmudgeon.
