This is Michael Cole's (new) homepage at Rutgers University.

I am a PhD student in the School of Library, Information and Communication Studies with interests in knowledge management, information retrieval, and application of machine learning in these areas.

As of January 2004 this site is under construction so some links may be broken and page names may change.

CokaBlog – A concept mapping community blogging system. This is being developed as a knowledge management experiment.

An interface to Lemur. The Lemur Toolkit for Language Modeling and Information Retrieval is a toolkit of modules for information retrieval research from the Computer Science Department at the University of Massachusetts and the School of Computer Science at Carnegie Mellon University. I have begun work on an interface to Lemur to support use of multiple modules in integrated IR experiments.

Knowledge management seminar

For the Spring '04 semester, several of us are organizing a seminar to discuss issues and recent papers in knowledge management. If you have interests in knowledge management please consider contributing paper suggestions and joining us.
