A Resource Guide for New Jersey Auto Insurance Buyers

New Jersey Auto Insurance Ratings

Here lists five typical households would pay for a year's coverage in New Jersey in 1997. It is assumed that each household resides within a city or suburb representative of the demographics of the state as a whole, and that each insures a popular make and model of car. In the state of New Jersey, Cherry Hill and Camden are specified as representative areas.

The evaluation is based on levels of coverage Consumer Reports has recommended as appropriate for the number and ages of drivers, types of cars, and driving patterns in each household. Unless otherwise noted, all the drivers have clean driving records, have both collision and comprehensive coverage, and are taking advantage of premium discounts for which they qualify.

The prices below are five least expensive policies that satisfied all of the criteria specified by the Consumer Reports Auto Insurance Price Service. They are not to be interpreted as necessarily representing the best rate available to every driver within the state. In fact, rates will vary based on individual circumstances.
