610:501 Introduction to Library and Information Professions: What's Where - Libraries: Rutgers Libraries: Borrowing Privileges
In order to borrow materials, you will need to have proof that you are enrolled and have paid your term bill (i.e., your student ID or term bill payment receipt). As a graduate student, you may keep materials for an entire semester. In return for this privilege, however, there are stiff penalties if you do not respond promptly when another user recalls an item checked out to you.
Online students will be able to find a lot of what they need directly since so many resources are available in digital form, or through the Libraries' various interlibrary loan (ILL) services. All of this will be explained to you when you visit Alexander Library during your on-campus orientation.
