Come introduce yourself and talk to other students about their experiences with the MLIS program. Chat about classes and teachers that we've enjoyed, ones we haven't, and get some ideas for electives you might want to take.
Wednesday, October 21st - 5:30 pm - Job Description
Wondering what School Media Specilists and Youth Librarians do on a daily basis? Attend this meeting and find out first hand from our guest speakers.
Wednesday, November 11th - 5:30 pm - NJASL
It's important to become involved in the library community, with groups such as NJASL, NJLA, and AASL. At this meeting we'll learn about the benefits memberships offer and what the groups do.

What can you do now to build your resume? What information should be on your resume as a School Media Specialist? Where to look for jobs, and interview techniques.

Talk about new trends in reading and genres, strategies to teach better reading comprehension, and ideas for programs such as summer reading.
May - Date TBA - End of the Year Elections and Celebration!
Several of our meetings qualify for 502 credit. Please speak with Professor Varlejs before the meeting to inquire about 502 credits for our speakers.
