I am a Ph.D candidate in Library and Information Science in the School of Communication & Information (SC&I) at Rutgers University.I am also a Fulbright grantee since 2009. My academic advisor is Dr. Nicholas Belkin and my research advisor is Dr. Chirag Shah.

I am originally from Santiago of Chile. Between 2000 and 2006 I studied Computer Engineering at the Universidad de Santiago de Chile where I also received my Master degree in Computer Engineering in 2007.

With regard to my research interests, during my master's studies, I started studying emotions in the context of CSCW, which led me to do my master's thesis focused on the study of the effects of basic emotions and basic moods on collaboration. Currently, I am exploring the affective dimension of users in collaborative information seeking.
