What is SOURCE anyway?

University Archives Open Stacks, Rutgers University
SOURCE (founded November 2000) addresses the interest of students who wish to learn more about archives, rare books, special collections, digital archiving, manuscripts, records management, museums and preservation. We intend to increase the visibility of these issues at SCILS by coordinating outreach programs and events, encouraging curriculum expansion, and creating a supportive network of professionals, faculty, alumni and organizations with similar interests. This network will facilitate the free exchange of information about jobs, internships and new developments in the fields, as well as offering our members advice and support. To encourage communication within the group, we have set up a listserv, paperpeople, which serves as a forum for debate and discussion dealing with these issues.
Using the links on the left hand side of your screen, you can see our constitution and mission statement, find out about the current people behind source, and learn more about our ListServe.
