Server - A computer that is dedicated to storing information that you can access over a network. Using a server, many people and people at remote locations can access the information.
Client - A computer on which a user can access information from another computer as well as do their individual work.
Server - Client Network - A network in which information is stored on one or more servers and then can be accessed by client computers anywhere on the network with proper permission.
Peer-to-Peer Network - A network in which information is stored on each clients computer. One client can access information on other client computers on the network with the proper permissions. A computer must be turned on to be able to access the information.
