SC&I Communication faculty and doctoral students will participate in the 18th biennial Kentucky Conference on Health Communication hosted by the University of Kentucky College of Communication and Information’s Department of Communication, April 4 – 6, in Lexington, Kentucky. The conference theme is “innovations in health communication.”
SC&I faculty and doctoral students presenting at the conference include Professor of Communication Kathryn Greene, Associate Professor of Communication Shawnika Hull, Associate Professor of Communication Matthew Matsaganis, Associate Professor of Communication Lisa Mikesell, Assistant Professor of Communication Yonaira Rivera, Professor of Communication Jennifer Theiss, Associate Professor of Communication Maria Venetis, and doctoral students Jorlanditha Austin, Liesl Broadbridge, Arpita Jindani, Jenny Mai, Ben Rholdan Sousa Pereira, M.J. According to KCHC, the conference, first held in 1989, has “evolved into a venue for health communication researchers, practitioners, and students to come together to share research on a variety of health-related topics and discuss current health communication issues, as well as develop working relationships to promote the health communication research agenda.”
