Jing Wang is a Ph.D. Candidate in Media and Communication Studies. Wang is interested in the social, political, and cultural dimensions of communication technologies in financial contexts. Her dissertation studies how the financial applications of the Internet, mobile apps, and big data reshaped the investing public, cultures of finance, as well as the state-market relations in China. Wang's work appears in Telecommunications Policy, Communication and the Public, International Journal of Communication, and as commentaries on Chinese Business News.
