Projects created by seven MI students and graduates, who are recipients of the Beverly E. Schoen Research Fellowship, were presented at the New Jersey Association of School Librarians Conference in Atlantic City in December.
SC&I faculty, students, staff, and alumni will attend this year's New Jersey Association of School Librarians (NJASL) 2023 conference at the Hard Rock Hotel in Atlantic City from Sunday, December 3, through Tuesday, December 5. The theme for the annual conference is "A World of Stories: A Celebration of Diversity in School Libraries."

Members of SC&I’s faculty and doctoral students attended the 2023 Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) conference in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, from October 2-5. ALISE '23 is the premier annual gathering of library and information science (LIS) professionals. This year’s theme, “Bridge the Gap: Teaching, Learning, Practice, and Competencies,” explores the linkage between the professional and educational practice of LIS programs or iSchool curricula.
After getting my B.A., I took a bit of a circuitous route to full-time teaching. I started in Rhode Island (my home state), then moved to New Jersey. I’ve been at my current middle school since the late 1990s. I was a classroom teacher until January 2022, when I was finally able to make the transition to the school library.
