For assistance with research both externally funded and not funded, please contact Associate Dean for Research Mark Aakhus.
SC&I has several support staff who can assist with external proposal writing and post-award grant management. Dean Aakhus can link faculty with these individuals.
ORSP is Rutgers’ central office coordinating funding proposals to external grantors.
They also administer the Research Administration and Proposal Submission System (RAPSS) through which all investigators must receive approval for submitting external funding proposals.

The library maintains the Rutgers University Community Repository which includes:
- Scholarly Open Access at Rutgers (SOAR)– see below for details about sharing your scholarship in this portal

- Historical and cultural resources and digitized library materials
- RU Research Data Portal – provides a place to share research data and comply with federal guidelines for funded research
SHARE YOUR PUBLISHED AND UNPUBLISHED SCHOLARSHIP
The Rutgers Open Access Policy (Policy 50.3.17) requires that all Rutgers faculty, graduate students, and post-docs deposit a legal copy of each article or other work covered by the policy at the time of acceptance for publication through the SOAR (Scholarly Open Access at Rutgers) portal. This allows Rutgers scholarship to be disseminated widely, increasing its visibility to a global readership, and provides a potentially increased impact for the author and for Rutgers. The focus of the policy is to ensure that Rutgers scholarship will be open access to the extent possible.
