We hope you are staying healthy and safe. As we prepare for the Fall 2021 undergraduate pre-registration period, SC&I Student Services will continue to provide academic advising and registration assistance remotely. We thank you in advance for your continued patience and support.
The Fall 2021 pre-registration begins Monday, April 19, 2021, at 9:00 a.m. and continues through Tuesday, April 27, 2021. Refer to the Fall 2021 Pre-registration Schedule to determine which date and time you will be eligible to register. During the pre-registration period, advising will be managed on a virtual walk-in basis; scheduled academic advising appointments are suspended and will resume Thursday, April 29, 2021.
Procedures for Meeting with an SC&I Undergraduate Advisor during Pre-registration
Throughout the pre-registration period, the LiveChat virtual walk-in room will be available during the following hours for SC&I academic advising:

- Monday 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.
- Tuesday 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

- Thursday 9:00 – 11:30 a.m. & 1:30 – 4:30 p.m.

Once in the chat session, you can submit general public questions, which will be answered via chat by Student Services staff. If you have specific questions and need an individual session, Student Services staff will take your name, RUID, and your preferred phone number. You will be advised of your place in the advising queue and informed of your approximate wait time. An academic adviser will then contact you via phone to begin your advising session. The call may be made from a private number so be sure to accept the call.

If you need to leave an email message, please include your full name, your 9-digit RUID, a phone number where you can be reached, your Rutgers email address, and a brief description of the problem or question. A student services staff member will respond to your message.

Remember that special permission numbers will not be assigned during the pre-registration period for closed or restricted courses, or registration holds that you may have.
