Gloria Steinem Speaks to Rutgers Magazine About the New Rutgers Endowed Chair Honoring her Life’s Work

The fall 2017 issue of Rutgers Magazine celebrates the new Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair in Media, Culture, and Feminist Studies in an article titled “A Mirror Onto Ourselves” and in a video titled “The Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair in Media, Culture and Feminist Studies.”

The author interviews Gloria Steinem and in the article Steinem explains her hopes and vision for the new Rutgers chair which will honor her life’s work.

The chair is a collaboration among SC&I, the Rutgers’ Institute for Women’s Leadership, and the Department of Women’s and Gender Studies at the Rutgers School of Arts and Sciences.

A search is currently underway “to seek a prominent leader in the area of media, culture, and feminist studies to launch the prestigious Gloria Steinem Endowed Chair,” to ensure the position is filled by the fall of 2018.
