The Association for Library and Information Science Education (ALISE) is excited to welcome Lilia Pavlovsky, Ph.D. to the Board of Directors. Pavlovsky's appointment to the board as the Director for Special Interest Groups will help ALISE fulfill its vision as the global voice of library and information science education.

Pavlovsky is an Associate Teaching Professor and Director of the Master of Information program at SC&I. She joined the faculty in 2003 to help develop the fully online program and has been the recipient of multiple teaching and service awards recognizing her expertise as an educator in online environments. Her research focuses on how the design of virtual learning environments impacts behavior.
