The School Library “Bus Tour” Will Take MI Students & Alumni to Libraries All Over New Jersey

The 2017 School Library “Bus Tour” will take Master of Information (MI) students, alumni, and New Jersey Association of School Librarians (NJASL) friends on a tour of libraries across the state of New Jersey. The tour will take place on October 24, 25, and 26, 2017, and will enable participants to observe day-to-day activities and library programs in action.

The goal of the 2017 Bus Tour is to allow MI students to learn outside of the classroom and get a feel for an environment they could one day be a part of. The tour also hopes to offer SC&I alumni and current librarians relationship-building opportunities with professionals in their fields and help them learn something new along the way.

Over the next few years, the bus tour hopes to expand even more by increasing the number of participants and including libraries in even more regions.

Sign ups and more information can be found on the website.

Please note, as the website explains, “This is a car/car pool experience. No actual buses will be involved.
