“Take every opportunity you have and learn as much as you can,” Schwartz advises current SC&I students. “Your unique experiences will set you apart from other candidates, so try to get experience in any way possible.”
Rutgers University President Jonathan Holloway said he shared this year’s awards announcement “with pride in the entire Rutgers faculty and with admiration and gratitude for the efforts of all our faculty members over the course of the academic year.”
Lambda Pi Eta is the official communication honor society of the National Communication Association (NCA). It was founded in 1985 at the University of Arkansas by Dr. Stephen A. Smith to recognize, foster, and reward outstanding scholastic achievement in communication. In 1994, Lambda Pi Eta gained national recognition when NCA endorsed it, becoming the official honor society for communication students.
Rutgers University’s School of Communication and Information (SC&I) is proud to announce that its esteemed Master of Communication and Media (MCM) program will offer a fully online option beginning with the fall 2025 cohort. This expansion aligns with Rutgers’ ongoing commitment to accessibility, flexibility, and innovative learning for students nationwide and potentially worldwide.
