Civadelic, who aspires to work as the editor-in-chief of a magazine, said because of the people she met and experiences she had as a SC&I student, she “feels prepared to be a journalist and lead the rest of my life giving back to young, aspiring professionals.”
“Becoming a clear and direct writer was among the most important lessons I learned at Rutgers,” Gaffen said.
“The world needs creative, committed, and responsible journalists and media makers more urgently than ever, and these students are leading the way,” said Chair of the Journalism and Media Studies Department and Professor Lauren Feldman.
22 SC&I Journalism and Media Studies majors were inducted into the Rutgers University Chapter of Kappa Tau Alpha (KTA) for the 2024-2025 academic year at a ceremony held on May 7, 2025.
To honor and celebrate our graduating students, SC&I will host its annual graduation convocation ceremony on Thursday, May 15, 2025 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m.
