Meilun Chen’s research interests encompass algorithmic culture, platform governance, and human-computer interaction. Chen works at the intersection of information studies and science and technology studies (STS), with a particular passion for comparative approaches and mixed-methods research. Her work aims to raise people’s awareness of the broad and complex range of sociotechnical and historical factors that shape algorithmic systems and find human-centered solutions to build algorithmic systems for social good.
