Mehedi Zaman is a Ph.D. student in Library and Information Science. He obtained his BSc degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Islamic University of Technology, completing his thesis on Schizophrenic patient identification from bio-signals. Later, he joined the AI Institute of the University of South Carolina to work on various NLP problems. His primary research interests lie in misinformation detection and mitigation in everyday social media.
