Communication Professor Jennifer Theiss to Receive Rutgers School of Graduate Studies Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Award

The Rutgers School of Graduate Studies is awarding the Faculty Excellence in Teaching and Mentoring Award to Rutgers School of Communication and Information (SC&I) Professor of Communication Jennifer Theiss. Theiss studies interpersonal communication in romantic relationships, marriages, and families, and has been at SC&I since 2006.

Amy Jordan Promoted to Distinguished Professor of Journalism and Media Studies

Jordan’s studies have examined the impact of public policy mandates on the landscape of children’s television, the use of public television materials in low-income, preschool classrooms, the effect of exposure to sexual media content on adolescent sexual risk taking, and the impact of media campaigns on parent’s and children’s sugar-sweetened beverage consumption.

LIS Professor Marie Radford has been awarded the Rutgers–New Brunswick Chancellor Award for Excellence in Mentoring

In an email to the Rutgers University–New Brunswick community, Chancellor of Rutgers–New Brunswick and Distinguished Professor Francine Conway and Saundra Tomlinson-Clarke, Professor and Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, notified the Rutgers community that Professor of Library and Information Science Marie Radford has been awarded the Chancellor Award for Excellence in Mentoring.
