18 SC&I Students Named 2022-23 Big Ten Distinguished Scholars

After getting my B.A., I took a bit of a circuitous route to full-time teaching. I started in Rhode Island (my home state), then moved to New Jersey. I’ve been at my current middle school since the late 1990s. I was a classroom teacher until January 2022, when I was finally able to make the transition to the school library.

This week at the International Association for Media and Communication Research (IAMCR) conference, being held in Lyon, France, SC&I Professor of Journalism and Media Studies Susan Keith will present her research and her new co-edited handbook will officially be launched. In addition to Keith, SC&I Professor of Journalism and Media Studies Deepa Kumar and Ph.D. student Melissa Gasparotto will also present their research.

David Greenberg Elected a Fellow of the New York Institute for the Humanities at the New York Public Library

Professor of Journalism and Media Studies and of History David Greenberg has been elected a Fellow of the New York Institute for the Humanities at the New York Public Library, effective September, 2023.

The NYIH has elected Greenberg a fellow “in recognition of the outstanding distinction of his work as a writer and historian.”
