Honoring John Lewis on the 60th Anniversary of the “Bloody Sunday” March to Selma

“Lewis’s heroism was central to the Selma campaign in 1965, and he also was the one who did the most to keep Selma alive in popular memory in the last few decades, through these pilgrimages. The Faith and Politics Institute Names Faith Wilson JMS’24 a John Robert Lewis Fellow 2025-2026

The prestigious and highly competitive fellowship was formed by The Faith and Politics Institute after the 2020 death of the late civil rights leader and U.S. Representative John Robert Lewis. As a fellow, Wilson will concentrate on studying the six principles of nonviolence and the history of the Civil Rights Movement.
