Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Association’s official honor society at four-year colleges and universities, had its annual new member induction ceremony at Rutgers on Sunday, April 21, inducting 40 new members.

Associate Professor of Journalism and Media Studies Khadijah Costley White has been awarded the Provost Award for Excellence in Community/Publicly Engaged Scholarship.

In an email to the Rutgers University–New Brunswick community, Chancellor of Rutgers–New Brunswick and Distinguished Professor Francine Conway and Saundra Tomlinson-Clarke, Professor and Provost and Executive Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, Rutgers University–New Brunswick, notified the Rutgers community that Professor of Library and Information Science Marie Radford has been awarded the Chancellor Award for Excellence in Mentoring.

Fox News chief Washington correspondent and news anchor Mike Emanuel will be inducted into the Rutgers Hall of Distinguished Alumni.

The aim in Fu’s streams of research is to help address grand challenges, such as public health challenges, environmental degradation, educational inequality, and social exclusion.

“I had the privilege of working with Richard Heffner for many years,” said Stewart. “He was an engaged teacher, with a keen mind, who always challenged his students to do their best work. I am honored to be appointed to a professorship that carries his name.”

SC&I leadership, faculty, staff, and donors gathered to celebrate scholars and scholarship opportunities.

The new faculty will bring to SC&I expertise in digital and social media environments; media literacy; and media production.
