Xiaotong (Xiao/shee-ou/) Du is a PhD student. Her research lies at the intersection of sustainability (environmental and social) and human information behavior/practice. Her previous works focused on older adult's interaction with digital technology during the COVID-19 pandemic. Her recent work investigates how sustainable food consumers seek, encounter, or use information in everyday food shopping and acquisition. Du's research aims to understand information barriers and enablers and provide information-related solutions to better serve the communities in the transition to sustainable and resilient food systems. Du also works as a Teaching Assistant for 510: Human information behavior.
