Social Networks Are Critical for Nonprofit Organizations’ Recovery, Study Finds

Nonprofit organizations whose employees were able to utilize their social networks in addition to traditional work-related communication were better prepared to serve vulnerable clients immediately after Hurricane Harvey in 2017, according to a recently published study in Nonprofit and Voluntary Sector Quarterly.

SC&I Faculty and Students to Participate in 71st Annual International Communication Association Conference

Date: May 25, 2021

SC&I faculty and students will present research presentations at the virtual 71st Annual International Communication Association (ICA) Conference in late May. Mostly asynchronous, the conference will also include pre-recorded sessions released on a schedule and live video chat events.

Faculty from SC&I and the School of Health Professions, with support from Rutgers Global, will represent Rutgers in this initiative aiming to promote collaborations between Greek and U.S. institutions of higher education.

Rutgers Joins the International Academic Partnerships Program – Greece

Faculty from SC&I and the School of Health Professions, with support from Rutgers Global will represent Rutgers in IAPP-Greece, an initiative that aims to promote international collaboration between U.S. and Greek institutions of higher education. Rutgers will kick off the partnership by hosting two e-symposia in May and June 2021.
