October 23, #BeCoMM-Talk Show
The 2024-2025 academic year at Rutgers University marks the return of the #BeCOMM campaign celebrating the communication major, including alumni, current students, and faculty in the Rutgers University School of Communication and Information. Initially launched in the spring 2022 semester by the communication department, the #BeCOMM campaign is the focus of a 400-level special topics course each semester in which students develop and activate the campaign via earned and social media as well as plan and execute two major campaign events, the #BeCOMM Talk Show in October and the COMMchella Music Festival in April. The #BeCOMM Talk Show is a two-hour television talk show format featuring notable communication prominent alumni and current students.
On October 23 at The Yard, the #BeCOMM Talk Show will be hosted by marketing executive and popular podcast host Grace Lewis (COM'21). One confirmed guest is Lindsay Balsamo Laureano (COM'15), Director of Advertising Sales Marketing for NBC-TV for the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games.
The #BeCOMM campaign and the two bookend events welcome corporate partners. Warner Bros. Discovery, home to several graduates of the communication major at Rutgers University, will return for the second year as a #BeCOMM campaign corporate partner and supporter.
